Mince and Potato Hotpot

Serving size: Serves 4-6

5 medium potatoes
1 tablespoon oil
500g minced beef
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and peper
60g margarine
1/4 cup plain flour
2 cups milk
1 cup greated cheese
1 x 250g can mushrooms in butter sauce
30g extra margarine

1. Preheat oven to 190 °C. Peel potatoes, cut into thin slices and place in a bowl with water.
2. Heat oil in frying pan, add mince, onion, sauces, salt and peper. Brown mince and set aside.
3. Melt margarine in a saucepan and add flour. Blend until smooth.
4. Gradually add milk and stir continuously until thick sauce is made. Reduce heat and stir in cheese. Remove from heat.
5. Line a casserole dish with half the potato slices, pour in the mince mixture and top with mushrooms.
6. Pour cheese sauce over mixture and top with remaining potatoes.
7. Dot casserole with extra margarine and place in oven for 30-40 minutes until browned and potatoes are tender.
